I'm really liking what I can do with Ankulua.
However, my script has a bunch of config, as well as a large data set (on the order of hundreds of rows). Right now, to update I have to paste it into the Lua file.
I'd much rather the script just grab the latest data straight from a server.
Is there a way to do this now? If not, are their plans to support this?
Indeed, the easiest for me would be if Ankalua had the JSON module built in, so it could just bring in JSON from a server right into a Lua table.
(I apologize if this has been asked and answered.)

There is security issue to provide network for script. Will consider it.
You can seperate the config into another lua file. Then run it from the main lua file.
As for JSON, it's a big effort...

There are Lua JSON modules; I don't know how much of the Lua environment Ankulua has, though. As for security issue, perhaps two versions, so those worried about security could use the one that doesn't have network access (e.g. for people just using scripts, not writing their own, or something). Just a thought...
