keeping variable after script exit

hi. current script has logging for wins and losses. i want those numbers to save when i end the script, and pick up again where they left off when i start my dungeon script again.




failCount = 0

winCount = 0







function status()
status:highlight("Fails: " .. failCount .. "\n" ..

"Total: " .. winCount) end


How do I make it change the zeroes to whatever it ends at when I stop the script?
