Purpose of this poll:
To bring together active, three star or higher, contributing coders for the benefit of learning different styles of coding.
I would like this new section to have more of a "open source" discussion. My goal is to be able to contribute and help other contributing members who maybe just dont understand certain concepts yet. We can learn different techniques/methods from each other, without the known issues of posting source code on the forum.
So my suggestion is this:
Create a access only area for 3 star or higher contributing members.
I understand this makes people feel vulnerable about posting source code, which is why i'm suggesting making it a 3+ star area so we dont have a bunch of people flooding it with newbie questions, and just copy and pasting everyone elses code. I've also come to realize that even if most people got ahold of my source code, or vice versa, our styles might be different and hard to understand what is going on in the code. Everyone in the group will already know how to do most of the basics to botting so there will be less need for those types of questions. Instead, we will get to post and react to actual coders feedback only, and be able to help others improve there coding skills as well. I've personally finished around 15+ fully functioning bots using Ankulua. But I know i'm not where i want to be coding wise. This is my way of reaching out to others to see what is a better way? or mabye someone has figured out a part of something i haven't, and vice versa.
So with that said, if Ankulua were to allow such an area on the forums, I would be able to keep the idea here where it started with Ankulua forums instead of two seperate forums. This idea would force "newbie" 1 star 2 star members to read up on the VAST amount of info and code examples posted on the regular forums, and get them motivated to contribute before being allowed into the Contributors Section. This will allow the curious but scared coder to share. And the scared to ask coders, to come forward and be wrong and get some real advice from an active coder on the forum. I would like to be able to share ideas freely and just see how far we can push Ankulua.
Post here with anything to do with the idea above, or show me how YOU feel about it by voting in the poll above. I appreciate you taking the tim to read this idea post, and as always Happy Botting!!!!
