I was working on my first script and I keep running into the problem "Can't find image.png", so I downloaded the Calculator Plus scripts and application to try it out and I also get the same problem. I've attached a screenshot. I'm running Android 5.0 on LG G3 and using Root for AnkuLua. Edit: When the script starts for Calculator Plus, there is the red box highlight like in the tutorial, but then this error happens.

Did you run example1.lua or highlightCalculator.lua? One of the possibility is the toast message override the 6.png. Try this -- ========== Settings ================ Settings:setCompareDimension(true, 960) Settings:setScriptDimension(true, 960)
-- ========== main program =========== wait(3) -- added for skip the lua file toast message click("6.png") click("+.png") click("9.png") click("-.png") click("7.png") click("=.png") print("Hello World!")
And for your own script, you should be careful of navigation bar on the right of the screen. Normally, it cause some confusion on setting Settings:setCompareDimension and Settings:setScriptDimension. Refer to settings on how to set them right.Send us the zip of all your scripts and cropped images. Also send us the screenshot with problem. Share them here or send to email ankulua@gmail.com We are willing to help you.

Right now I want to make example1.lua work, but it isn't working
Okay so I found more information on this problem.
I am currently running Android 5.0 Rooted, but I am also running a custom resolution for Android, I used Terminal to type in "wm size 720x1280" this tells the window manager that the display is 720p. The reason behind this is because the game I play makes the CPU too hot, the original resolution for my LG G3 is 2560x1440, really big.
Now I used the updated script you provided in the previous post and ran it at 720p and 1440p:
In 720p it does the same thing "Can't find 6.png". In 1440p it DOES CLICK 6 and then clicks + but then it gives the same error but for 9 so it says "Can't find 9.png".
The next thing I'm going to do is remake the images for 1440p size and see if it works then.

So I remade the images for Calculator Plus and example1.lua now works with the resolution 1440x2560 but when I switch my screen to 720x1280 (a quarter of the original screen but then its stretched to fill the whole screen) it still does "Can't find 6.png". I am guessing that the resolution change doesn't allow Ankulua to see the screen somehow? I see that the Pro version has a "media projection" option but I don't want to buy it unless I know that will fix this resolution change problem, could you tell me more about media projection?

It's complicated in your situation. AnkuLua works well for devices of different resolutions if the App scales well according to the "App usable screen resolution". "one script for all devices" in fact depends on the App. example1.lua works well in all of our devices, including different resolution settings of blue stacks emulator. Don't recommend to use AnkuLua in your way. Maybe you can try to crop the images on lower resolution first, 720x1280 in your case. Then try it on 1440x2560. You can reduce the scan rate as previously provided script.
Media Projection is an alternative method for faster snapshot. It doesn't resolve your problem.

Then maybe Media Projection might work, since when I put in a custom non-default resolution of 720p, Ankulua does not find anything, my guess is that Android is putting a screen emulation layer for 720p that Ankulua cannot detect. Maybe in the future I'll buy Ankulua when it has more features.

What's the app(game) to use AnkuLua for? You already can make example1.lua work for some cases. It's time to back to the app that you are interested. Did you meet any problem for the app?

Right now I am trying to figure out how to make Ankulua to work on 720p resolution with example1.lua. I cannot run the game at 1440p because it already runs too hot, and with Ankulua on top I don't want to run both all day long at 70+ fahrenheit.
Right now Ankulua will say "Can't find 6.png" even if I remake the images for example1.lua in 720p or 1440p, so my best guess is that Android is actually emulating the screen when I set it to 720p because the screen is natively 1440p.

The App is really good and I like it, I used to use HiroMacro because it could detect a pixel's color and you can run code depending on the color of the pixel, but then I found Sikuli/Ankulua which is much better. I would buy the Pro version if it was $0.99 or $1.99 but $4 is a little much for me for an app that is really new.

Thanks. AnkuLus is sure much better Could you please help on followings. Send us the images that AnkuLua captured in your situation. Refer to the Settings for details.Settings:snapSet("OutputCaptureImg", true) Settings:snapSet("OutputCropImg", true) Settings:snapSet("OutputResizeImg", true)
You can find those images in /sdcard/AnkuLua/captured_images. The most important is that AnkuLua works for you. As you note that users can use trial version for unlimited time.

If you remade the images, please also zip the files, including the lua files, and send us. Thanks.

Here are the files: wikisend.com/download/662462/AnkuLua.zipAnkulua does not work in 720p at all, I feel this may be an incompatibility between Ankulua and wm (WindowManager) command. I wanted to see what happened if i did a reverse 720p resolution (so instead of 1280x720, I put in 720x1280) and this is what I got.
