Hello all,
I have a need to start specific Ankulua script on Andorid mobile phone from Unix server or to send specific parameters to already running Ankulua service. If not possible from server, at least from some other Android app, which would maintain communication with server.
Is it possible and/or what would be best approach for this case? i see that there is API quickReference thread, but not sure is something like this possible with some of listed functions.
And second question: is is possible that Ankulua script read data received from external app (either online or via file) and based on that to act differently?
thanks in advance, John

You can enable "Hide daemon/root check success dialog", "Automatically start service" and "Automatically run script when starting service". With httpGet(), you can communicate with your server. To communicate through file, use lua file functions. www.lua.org/pil/21.2.html

thanks for feedback.
I would have additional question: Both, httpGet and file communication, are initiated from Ankulua. I need to send information to Ankulua running script, and Ankulua script to run differently based on this input (from file or http).
I am thinking in a way that I should put files in specific folder, and then Ankulua to check every second (or faster), is there a change in this specific folder. Is there some better way to manage this?
thanks in advance
